Dr. Wexler earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University, followed by a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland.
She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she worked with adults. She then completed postdoctoral training at NYU Langone’s Psychiatry Associates, continuing to develop her clinical experience in adult mental health.
Dr. Wexler is currently pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), building on her interest in helping clients explore how past experiences influence their present emotions, beliefs, and responses.
Dr. Wexler draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and relational therapy, tailoring her approach to each client. Together, you can explore patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships while developing practical skills to manage emotions and respond to everyday challenges with greater flexibility.
She especially enjoys working with high-achieving adults, including mental health professionals, medical providers, and people in corporate environments. She understands how the drive to succeed can create pressure to get everything “right”—even therapy. Dr. Wexler helps clients explore that pressure with curiosity, making room for uncertainty, vulnerability, and progress that isn’t always linear.
For clients navigating trauma or feeling stuck, she explores how past experiences shape present beliefs, emotions, and physical responses. As she continues her EMDR training, she is deepening this focus on the mind-body connection, alongside mindfulness and emotion regulation skills that clients can use in daily life.
Dr. Wexler also works with couples, helping partners understand recurring patterns, express their needs, and find ways to communicate with greater openness and connection.
Outside of her work, Dr. Wexler enjoys running in Central Park, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
